Bring bold California flavor to your grill this summer with cedar-planked salmon finished in lemon-dill butter. This rich and smoky dish is built to stand up to our big, oaky Lloyd Chardonnay. It’s backyard barbecue elevated—with a wine to match.
Ingredients
1 lb salmon fillet, skin-on
1 untreated cedar plank, soaked in water for 1 hour
2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
1 tsp lemon zest
1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
Salt and freshly cracked pepper
Preparation
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- In a small bowl, mix butter, dill, lemon zest, and lemon juice.
- Pat salmon dry, season with salt and pepper.
- Place cedar plank on grill for 2 minutes to char slightly, then flip.
- Place salmon skin-side down on the charred side of the plank.
- Grill with the lid closed for 12–15 minutes or until salmon flakes easily.
- Top with lemon-dill butter and serve immediately with a chilled glass of Lloyd Chardonnay.
