A celebration of Sauvignon Blanc, farm-to-table cuisine, and the spirit of Carneros wine country

To celebrate the launch of our first-ever Lloyd by Robert Lloyd Sauvignon Blanc, we invited a group of media and tastemakers to spend a curated weekend in Carneros — a beloved corner of Napa Valley wine country. With Stanly Ranch as our basecamp, the weekend blended world-class wine, farm-to-table dining, and meaningful connection, guided by Rob Lloyd, our winemaker and Napa Valley fixture.

Night One: Broadway & Vine at Carneros Resort

We opened the weekend with a soulful evening at Broadway & Vine, the signature concert series at Carneros Resort, hosted by longtime Lloyd Cellars friend Jacob Langfelder. The headliner, Alisan Porter — best known for her childhood role in Curly Sue and as a winner of The Voice — brought her powerhouse vocals to the vineyard stage as the sun set over Carneros.

Guests enjoyed focused pours of Prescription Chardonnay and Prescription Cabernet Sauvignon, alongside Lloyd by Robert Lloyd Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. With Bonnie Lloyd serving on the Broadway & Vine Board of Directors, the night was a celebration of friendship, artistry, and wine.

Day Two: Carneros Vineyard Tours with Rob Lloyd

The next morning began with lavender pastries and coffee from Gavel, Stanly Ranch’s garden-inspired café, followed by a hands-on Carneros vineyard tour led by Rob Lloyd.

Guests explored Sangiacomo Vineyards, walking the famed Green Acres block — the source of our flagship Lloyd Chardonnay — as well as the newly designated parcel now dedicated to our Sauv Blanc, Amaral. Rob shared insights into vineyard micro-plots, clone selection, and the unique climate conditions that make Carneros such an exceptional region for crafting balanced, expressive wines.

The tour concluded with an open-air tasting among the vines — the perfect way to experience the literal fruits of Napa Valley winemaking.

Night Two: A Farm-to-Table Celebration at Stanly Ranch

Saturday evening brought the weekend’s main event: Summer in a Glass, an immersive farm-to-table experience at The Grange Garden at Stanly Ranch.

Guests were welcomed with a guided garden tour led by Stanly Ranch farmer Nick Runkle, who shared insights into the heirloom vegetables, herbs, and edible flowers cultivated steps from the dinner tables. Banquet Chef Joey Hattendorf crafted a menu inspired by these freshly harvested ingredients, perfectly paired with a signature lineup of Lloyd Cellars wines:

  • 2024 Sta. Rita Hills Rosé
  • 2024 Carneros Sauvignon Blanc
  • 2023 Carneros Chardonnay
  • 2023 Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir

As each course was served, Rob Lloyd introduced the wines, offering a behind-the-label look into their vineyard sources, vintage personalities, and his vision for these wines. The evening ended fireside with Rob’s favorite cocktail — the Carajillo — a creamy blend of vanilla, citrus, and warm spice under the Napa Valley stars.

Day Three: Brunch & Unwinding

On Sunday, guests gathered for a sunlit brunch at Bear, Stanly Ranch’s flagship restaurant. Tom Donovan, General Manager of Stanly Ranch and longtime friend of the Lloyd family, greeted the group and shared the resort’s philosophy of hospitality and intention.

Brunch featured seasonal specialties — from citrus-cured salmon to golden waffles — paired with Lloyd by Robert Lloyd Rosé, Sauvignon Blanc, and Chardonnay as well as the refreshing Prescription Chardonnay. Stanly’s Director of Wine & Spirits, Michael Coyne, shared pairing insights and stories behind each label, offering guests a deeper connection to the wines in their glasses.

A Weekend to Remember

Weekend in Carneros was more than a launch party for our Sauvignon Blanc — it was a reflection of our ethos at Lloyd Cellars: bringing people together through wine, food, and meaningful experiences rooted in place.

Carneros, with its cool coastal breezes, rolling hills, and vibrant agricultural heritage, offered the perfect setting to connect, pause, and savor. From vineyard walks to Broadway under the stars, each moment celebrated craftsmanship, community, and the stories behind the wines.
